Snow Fort!

Due to popular demand (mainly the incessant texting of my father) I am putting an end to the blog drought. A lot has happened since Visiting D.C 2 weeks ago... surviving bronchitis, visiting the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, catching up with my good friend John Allen in Chesapeake, relocating from Kiptopeke to Virginia Beach, relocating from Virginia Beach back to Kiptopeke, and much more.

Pond overlook
The First week in February River 7 transfered to First Landing State Park, a mere hour drive from Kiptopeke just across the Bay.  Our task at this 3,000 acre state park was to revamp a path that led to a pond overlook. Despite having Tuesday off, and a snow day on Thursday, River 7 almost completed the entire walkway.  All was not lost on the snow day, as you can see above the awesome snow fort that Cain and I constructed.  While in First Landing we had access to the Aquarium and Marina which we took full advantage of, spending our Tuesday off checking it out.

Finito! well... mostly
It's good to be back in Kiptopeke, we have about 2 more weeks here until the 24th when we will be leaving for Hattiesburg Mississippi to work on some historical houses.  Trying to make the most of the stay I have left in Virginia!

Back at Kiptopeke, Taylor and I cleared a natural trail
